The budget by Borinanzas
BoriBudget is a budgeting app. You tell it what you earn and what you spend on, and it shows how much money you have left this month, which debt to pay first and the month you reach each goal.
Who it's for
BoriBudget isn't for everyone. Better to know before you start.
Features
Each feature shows its screen of the app at work, with sample data. They advance on their own; tap a name to jump to it.
You enter how much you'll spend in each category. When you record an expense, BoriBudget shows how much you've spent and how much is left in that category.
Tell your BoriBudget what you spent, by voice or typing. BoriBudget picks the category and you confirm before saving.
Take a screenshot of your statement and upload it. BoriBudget reads every transaction and assigns its category. You review and save.
You enter your debts with their balance and interest. BoriBudget tells you which to pay first, how much interest you'll pay and the month you finish paying them all.
Your emergency fund, calculated from your monthly needs.
Your accounts and debts on one screen, month by month. Balances update on their own with the transactions you record.
BoriBudget looks at your budget, debts and goals, and gives you one step: where to put the money you have left this month.
BoriBudget comes in four colors. Tap one to see this page, and the app, in that color.
The Borinanzas method
BoriBudget puts your goals in this order, the same one a Borinanzas financial coach uses, and shows which of the four you're on.
If you prefer a different order, change it on the Goals screen.
First you save what you spend on needs in one month. That way an emergency doesn't end up on the card.
You pay them snowball style: the smallest first, and what you were paying it moves to the next.
With those debts gone, you keep saving until you cover three months of needs.
The down payment, the trip, retirement. Each with the month you'll reach it.
